Dr. Coltrane is a passionate young dentist who is dedicated to creating positive experiences for all of her patients. Her favorite part of being an associate dentist at R2 Center for Dentistry is being able to work alongside such a collaborative and kind team, as well as treat amazing patients! Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Coltrane decided to become a dentist when she was about four years old. After her very first dental appointment, she told her mom that’s what she wanted to do, and she stuck to it! She always loved the idea of being a professional in a specific area of expertise while also getting to interact with multiple patients every day. She also loved the thought of being able to help her patients feel more confident in their smiles and provide them with a positive dental experience.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Coltrane completed her undergraduate studies at Kansas State University before attending the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery. She remains committed to sharpening her skills and staying up to date with the latest advancements in her field by completing future continuing education courses in SureSmile clear aligners, dental implants, endodontics (root canal treatment), and more! She’s also an active member of the American Dental Association.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Coltrane is grateful to live so close to her and her husband’s family in Wichita. Because they live just minutes away, they’re always able to see each other! In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, going on walks, and trying new restaurants. An interesting fact about her is that she has 34 first cousins and about 70 second cousins!
